At ElkCreek Golden Retrievers, located in the heart of Texas, we have been devoted to the love of Golden Retrievers for over 25 years. Our dogs live in our home and sleep in our bed. We do not have crates or kennel runs and expect that our puppies will live similar lives. We all vacation together over the summer and always take trips that are dog friendly.  

Our journey (or obsession) began many years ago with a Golden named Dan. He was our introduction into life with a golden retriever. We were devastated to lose him to prostate cancer at the yound age of 8 years old. This loss led us to a thorough search for the best breeding practices and veterinary studies on the effects of spay/neuter, pesticides, and vaccines—practices that will hopefully contribute to the quality and longevity of life for this incredible breed. We only breed our dogs with OFA (Orthopedic Foundation of America) clearances and DNA testing. We are proud to be active members of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex Golden Retriever Club, Austin Golden Retriever Club and the Golden Retriever Club of America. Teresa McKenna currently serves as Vice President for our local club. Whether it is in the show ring or in our home, our dogs are a positive reflection of the years of hard work, study, and dedication to this breed.
